About the opportunity


This is an exciting time to join Fonterra IT We are on a transformation journey as we pivot to become a team who is focused on great customer experience and business outcomes.

This journey involves the delivery of several key, large scale global IT programmes that will be implemented over the coming years and our business requires experienced programme managers to deliver them across the complex IT environment.


As our Programme Coordinator, you will play an important role in providing strategic level support to Programme Managers and undertake co-ordination of activities within the assigned programme(s).

These include a wide range of support tasks across the project lifecycle including financial tracking, purchase, and work order management, producing reports, and other administrative duties.


Reporting to the Scrum/PM Chapter Lead you will support multiple programmes, taking the initiative and seeking opportunities to get alignment and standardization of practices through collaboration.

Other Key responsibilities will include.

  • Assist with compiling and maintaining summary reports, documents, and artefacts for the programme.
  • Provide trusted financial management and assist with programme tracking and reporting of actual spend, committed spend and forecast spend.
  • Action purchase order requests, ensure appropriate documentation is available.
  • Arrange the onboarding of new programme staff coordinating with the Workforce Management Team.
  • Be an active contributor in the Scrum/PM Chapter and within the community of project and programme coordinators.

About you
This is a fantastic opportunity be part of a high performing team.

You will be an experienced programme coordinator to provide strategic level support to Programme Managers and undertake co-ordination of activities within the assigned programme/s.


Qualities that will help you succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Financial Programme Coordinator.
  • Secondtonone communication skills both written and verbal to engage well with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Has managed and handled contracts and Statement of Works
  • Understands financial accounting in ERP, preferably SAP.
  • IT
Project experience would be useful, but not essential. In place where no experience exists, the ability to quickly learn and grasp concepts is key.

  • Good to have experience with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience using Planview would be useful, but not essential.
