You will be interpreting immigration legislation, and utilising your proven analysis, judgement and decision-making abilities to make quality immigration decisions.

This is a fast paced, high-volume environment, and your strengths will lie in your ability to keep pace while prioritising your workload.

We have several vacancies in our Hamilton/Kirikiriroa office, located in the CBD, close to the bus transport centre and with multiple parking options.


Flexible Working Arrangements within MBIE
Once your training and induction period is over and you are competent in your new role, MBIE offers the following flexible work options;
1) Work your hours in 9 days over two weeks which will allow you to enjoy a weekday off every fortnight.


2) We provide you the equipment you need to allow you work at home (once fully trained) - but note there will still be a requirement to work in the office a few days a week.

3)

The office opens at 6am and closes at 6pm. You can arrive any time before 9:30am, work your hours and go home for the day. There is no requirement to start at the same time every day - great for those that need to drop-off/pick-up kids

Skills and experience required:

  • Recent experience in a highperformance service delivery environment; including caseload management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience or an attraction to an administration/processing environment
  • Effective time management with the ability prioritise workflow demands and case loads
  • Enjoys managing multiple priorities and able to adapt to change
  • A strong moral compass, and be known to 'act with integrity' in all you undertake
  • The motivation and willingness to make a positive difference as a proactive team member
