Who are we

The role


Following the acquisition in 2018, our Chief Financial Officer is a new role reporting to the Chief Executive to support the increasing demands and complexities of our transforming business model.

You will be a strong business partner to the CEO (stepping in to cover when the CEO is out of the country) and wider leadership team, including frequent interactions with our global Canadian shareholders; with the opportunity to also travel to head office in Canada.

We are investing and upgrading our manufacturing facilities that includes the merging of our two existing sites (St Johns and Takanini) with supporting technology solutions to ensure we have a built for purpose facility, and as CFO, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of this exciting project.


Key responsibilities of the CFO include contributing to the strategic planning, capital management, new ventures and business cases along with other ad-hoc projects that come your way; setting financial policies (in conjunction with the shareholder), and overseeing the execution of the routine activities that goes with operating a subsidiary including monthly and year-end financial reporting cycles, ad-hoc reporting, budgets, credit, insurance, tax, treasury and transfer pricing.


This role will suit someone with either existing CFO experience (in a similar sized business) however is keen now to gain exposure within a multinational environment; or is an existing Finance Manager for a subsidiary of a multinational.

In this role you will need to be comfortable working with auditors, regulators and the compliance requirements that go with operating an offshore owned business.


About you

  • Proven experience as a CFO or an existing Finance Manager for a multinational
  • Manufacturing experience or exposure
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills including project management
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
  • Sound management reporting experience with a strong interest in the business and manufacturing and able to provide clear insight to managers at various levels on business performance
  • Commercial nous with the ability to make decisions and help other managers to make decisions
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (preferably SAP or at least a keen interest to learn)
  • Has a cando, flexible mindset and is focused on outcomes and results
  • Comfortable working outside of the NZ business hours when required (eg connecting with Canadian shareholders when required)
  • Enjoys working amongst a diverse and multicultural work force
