As a Senior Risk Advisor you will manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high quality customer service is always provided which may include the self-servicing of small to mid-sized client accounts under supervision of Client Executives. Additionally, you will assist Client Executives in all aspects of client service, including face-to-face client contact, administration, technical support and business development.

This role is client-facing and provides and opportunity to further strengthen insurance knowledge and client servicing skills.

**We will count on you to**:

- Assist Client Executives with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of business plans and goals.
- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers an frequently monitor political, management and other changes within the client organisations to preserve and protect the Company’s relationship with the client.
- Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
- Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
- Maintain awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.
- Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments.
- Maintain ultimate responsibility for the timely and accurate production, processing and delivery of client related administration and documentation.

**What you need to have**:

- New Zealand Certificate in Financial Advice (Level 5) or commitment to obtaining within a reasonable timeframe
- Demonstrated experience in the insurance industry
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess good working knowledge of all aspects of Insurance and other relevant legislation

**What makes you stand out**:

- Corporate broking/insurance experience
- Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF or similar)
