We are seeking an experienced Co-ordinator to assist our Te Tohu Paerua o Te Reo Kairangi - Masters in Te Reo Māori programme.

About the position


The purpose of this position is to plan, develop and co-ordinate kaiako, noho, programme resources and tauira in this programme.

You will be the point of contact for tauira administrative tasks. Create and maintain records and databases. Respond to enquiries regarding the programme. Provide educational administration support to Kaiako and Kaiwhakahaere Ako (Manager).

About you
Ideally, you will have the below qualifications and experience.

  • A Level 7 qualification in Te Reo Māori or comparative equivalent
  • Diploma in Business Administration or programme/event management
  • New Zealand Full Driver Licence
  • Experience working within the education sector; and
  • Experience in an administration or coordinator role

Āhuatanga Māori:

  • Fluent in spoken and written Te Reo Māori and can provide guidance and leadership in this area
  • Engages in cultural activities and has a sound understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)
  • Understands and is an advocate for using Te Wānanga o Aotearoa values in the workplace
  • The ability to embrace a Māori worldview that is underpinned by the values of Te Aroha, Te Whakapono, Ngā Ture and Kotahitanga
