Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity


The Retinal Photo Screening Service is looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills to join their team.

This is currently only 20 hours a week but there may be an opportunity to increase the hours at some point.

In this role you will be responsible for taking digital images of the patient's eyes, training will be provided.

The role will also include some administrative duties, managing patient referrals and bookings, as well as entering and processing clinical data and results.

This is a mobile service and the team travels to different areas each day, there will be times when you will be required to stay away overnight.


  • This team is based at the Waikato Diabetes Centre, (26 Clarence Street, Hamilton) and provides a service for people with diabetes who require regular eye screening across the region. The team consists of a medical photographer/coordinator, a registered nurse, a health care assistant, and has clerical support.
