We are looking for a
Senior Associate Consultant that can
Lead Business Cases to join our New Zealand team.

You will be part of the Strategic Consulting matrix structure sitting within either the Economics and Finance capability or the Strategy and Transformation capability, based on your background.


You will lead the development of business cases across a range of markets including Transport, Water, Energy and Power, Health, Cities and Places, and Resources.

You will work on projects within New Zealand, Australia and the APME region.


In taking ownership of client relationships, you will help identify, secure, and oversee the delivery of Strategic Consulting business development opportunities.

You will be responsible for contributing to the development and execution of growth strategies that will advance our Consulting offering across ANZ and be part of a step change in the breadth and depth of Strategic Consulting services provided by Jacobs.


As a senior team member, you will contribute to team and staff development through mentoring, technical leadership and role modelling.

You will align with Jacobs' core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across your role that embodies Jacobs' Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of our people.

Here's What You'll Need:
  • Extensive experience leading major multi
  • disciplinary infrastructure business cases and investment strategies.
  • A good working knowledge of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.
  • Knowledge of Te Ta Ōhanga, the Treasury guidelines and processes would be advantageous.
  • Proven market industry familiarity including market risks, opportunities, and trends.
  • The ability to interpret business issues and recommend best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build client relationships and engage with clients.
  • The ability to lead functional teams and/or projects and provide coaching and mentoring.
  • A strategic and innovative mindset coupled with strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • The ability to solve complex problems, using strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Economics analysis and assessment techniques, including Cost Benefit Analysis. (desirable)
