  • About the role:

We have two opportunities to join MBIE's People Services team in the People and Culture branch as a Payroll Specialist.

One position is permanent and the other is available as a 5 month fixed-term contract or secondment.

In this role you will work collaboratively within a busy team to provide confidential, accurate and timely payroll services for all MBIE employees.

You will demonstrate your ability to effectively prioritise your workload, remove roadblocks and work to tight deadlines to ensure that SLAs are met, fully documented and audited at all times.

These roles offer variety of work where you will work across the end-to-end lifecycle of an employees' journey through MBIE.

You will collaborate both within the People Services team and wider People & Culture, sharing your knowledge, learning from others, and exploring new ideas and ways of doing things.

We are interested to hear from people with the following:

  • Experience providing great customer service, building and delivering solutions that meet customer expectations
  • A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Proven ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships
  • Experience in payroll and good excel and data entry skills would be advantageous
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ.
