What you'll be doing:


We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Payroll Specialist to join our People and Culture team reporting to the Payroll Manager.

This is a busy role within a Payroll team of three who are responsible for the fortnightly pay run for approximately 800 employees.


  • Assist/Manage with the endtoend processing of payroll including PAYE obligations and filing when required.
  • Respond to any payroll related queries.
  • Processing IRD reconciliation and Payday filing
  • Processing final pays and reconcile to make sure the data is accurate
  • Adhoc manual calculation in payroll where the data needs to be corrected
  • Participate in any Payroll projects as they arise
  • Processing reconciliation of final pays ensuring calculations, allowances and deductions are correct
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas both within and external to the People and Culture Team
  • Provide monthly reports to mangers plus other adhoc reports as requested

What you'll bring to the table:

Having a real passion for story telling with data which will have real life tangible business outcomes. But it'll take more than that to succeed in this role.

If the above sounds like you then you will need:

  • 5+ years' experience of Payroll Experience
  • Experience with SAP
  • Sound understanding and demonstrated knowledge of payroll related legislation including but not limited to the Holidays Act, the Wages Protection Act and the Privacy Act.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Stakeholder management, dealing with external suppliers and key business stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset; always looking for process improvement
