Why Tracksuit?

We've built beautiful, always-on, radically affordable brand health tracking.

We're incredibly grateful and excited to work with over 180 epic brands across NZ, AU, the US and the UK.

Our mission is bold: to build the most comprehensive and valuable brand tracker in the world. With a focused approach, we've perfected our survey methodologies and data collection techniques to create a dataset that's unrivalled in the industry.

About the Role:

As a Survey Lead, you'll play a crucial role in leading and scaling our survey deployment function within the Research Team, based in New Zealand. You'll be responsible for overseeing survey deployment, ensuring data quality, testing new methodologies, and guiding the future development of our survey strategies.

The Survey Team is paramount in maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of the information we provide, reinforcing the foundation of our company's commitment to delivering high-quality insights in a timely fashion to deliver always on tracking.

Collaborating closely with the Head of Research, you'll plan and prioritise areas of focus for the team, ensuring alignment with our overarching goals. This role includes people management responsibilities, so you'll need to be an expert in your field while also nurturing and mentoring your team to success.

Why you'll thrive here:

We're a tight-knit, supportive, and ambitious team, driven to empower companies to use brand to drive success. Our culture thrives on transparency, trust, learning, and constant development and improvement. Underpinning the experience are our competitive salaries, and other great benefits.
  • Come and experience life at one of the fastest-growing startups in New Zealand & Australia while we are still in the hyper-growth phase
  • Competitive market rate remuneration
  • ESOP for all staff, so you are rewarded for your best work and have a share in the success
  • We have beautiful hubs in AKL, SYD, LND, and NYC and we are basing our teams out of those cities. We allow WFH, and provide full work flexibility (location, timing) day to day, and are happy to build unique employee experiences, creating an ideal work-life for individuals
  • Health and wellness benefits
  • Learning and development support for all of our staff
  • Company socials – we celebrate our success together

We practise complete transparency with compensation, goals (personal and professional), feedback, and high-level strategic conversations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the continual deployment of our tracker surveys across multiple countries
  • Lead and develop our Survey Specialists, creating a supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Organise and prioritise team workload to meet project deadlines effectively
  • Plan and execute areas of focus for the team as we scale our operations

  • Exceptional prioritisation and delegation skills, even under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Methodical problem-solving approach with a logical and analytical mindset
  • Proven mentorship and leadership capabilities

Preferred Tools and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with survey platforms such as Forsta/Decipher, ConfirmIT, NEBU, CMIX, etc
  • Experience with panel APIs or self-serve tools like Samplify
  • Proficiency in governmental statistics sources (e.g., ABS, Nomis, Stats.NZ)
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools like Harmoni, Displayr, QExcel
  • Understanding of quantitative research methodology and survey writing

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in survey deployment, data collection, market research, or data analysis roles
  • Expertise in managing surveys to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and reliability
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret survey results and provide actionable insights
  • Ideally, experience in team management or leadership roles

We are looking for someone who can not only lead our Survey Team from an operational and delivery perspective, but also be a strong, compassionate and experienced People Leader.

Join us on our mission to revolutionise brand tracking and shape the future of market research. If you're ready to lead with passion and drive in an inclusive and dynamic workplace, apply now We're excited to welcome you to our team.

Obviously, when you join, you'll receive an epic Tracksuit which reflects our vibe. We are built for speed and comfort, we're fun and informal (yet tidy), and we're practical and ready for anything.

We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace — a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet some of the requirements, women and under-represented groups of candidates tend to only apply when they meet every requirement. If you think you have what it takes but don't necessarily tick every requirement on this job description, please get in touch and apply.
