As an ICT support Technician the suitable applicant will possess:

  • Fibre and Fusion splicing in domestic as well as commercial properties. Have knowledge of fibre optics cable on splicing and handling and understanding copper cable jointing.
  • Setting up the LAN for customers, including configuring the customer's equipment to the specifications.
  • Providing ongoing operational support for troubleshooting, optimizing ICT network performance at all terminals including FAT, ABFFP, Network Cabinet, and Customers' end.
  • Integrating and Configuring ICT devices and tools. Installing and Configuring Modem/Router. Programming ONT (Optical Network Terminal).
  • Connects fibre optic cables to networking outlets and between network outlets.
  • Sets up a network connection on a host computer/laptop by logging the default network settings, such as IP address, proxy, network name and ID/password, to enable network connection and communication.

You will receive:

  • Base Salary plus bonuses you can earn depending on your speed, efficiency and how smart & hard you perform. You will manage a fully loaded Van, test equipment, mobile & laptop
  • Along with the relevant tertiary skills and a strong knowledge of the telecommunications industry.
It is not mandatory but it will be an advantage if you have following:

  • Have technical Qualifications or three years of relevant experience-Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be competent with hand/power tools and other technical equipment
  • Must have basic knowledge of networking/programming.
Prepare required paperwork in a timely manner

  • Should have WTC1, WTC3, First Aid and TC /STMS Level 1Should have the competency to work
  • Familiarity with and demonstrated adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the telecommunications industry
  • Uptodate knowledge of new technology, including communication technologiesSkill with tools and testing equipment
We are looking for someone with

  • Ability to work competently in an unsupervised environment and in the team.
  • Ability to work under pressure as our projects have strict deadlines
  • Steady hands and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to travel when required and be available to work flexible hours during weekends as well
  • Clean NZ Driver's license
  • Must be able to pass police vetting and Drug checks
