Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand Partly Full time

Note:
Partly is headquartered in Christchurch but has employees across NZ, AU, IN, PH, JP, UK and the EU.

If you are not based in Christchurch, we will fly you to HQ for 2 weeks for onboarding, as well as 1 week per quarter for our "Season Openers" (we pay for your travel and accommodation).

If you are relocating to Christchurch from NZ or from overseas, we can also assist with relocation costs._

Our story:

Partly's mission is to connect the world's parts and we're doing that by building the first global platform for replacement parts, starting with auto parts.

Our big vision is to accelerate the world towards a sustainable future where waste is eliminated and all replacement parts are universally searchable, accessible and available to all.

Founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers, we utilise cutting-edge technology to solve challenging but exciting problems that make a huge impact in a $1.9 trillion industry.

We've more than tripled our team over the last 12 months and expect to double in size again over the coming 12 months.

We're a global team spanning both Europe and Australasia.

We provide a scalable digital infrastructure solution to some of the world's largest businesses and the most exciting startups. Partly's solutions are integrated across hundreds of companies globally, providing the backbone for cataloguing and managing parts online.

Our investors in Blackbird Ventures (Canva, CultureAmp etc.), Square Peg, Octopus Ventures, Hillfarrance, Icehouse, Peter Beck (Rocket Lab), Akshay Kothari (Notion Co-Founder) and Dylan Field (Figma Co-Founder).

We're continuing to build a world-class team and ensuring Partly is a place where people can do the best work of their lives.

We're proud of the culture we've built at Partly, and our values are lived throughout every experience.

This role:

In the Intern Sales and Solutions Architecture role, you will excel at cultivating robust connections between our team and our clients, adeptly aligning industry demands with customer expectations and technical capabilities.

Your knowledge of working with large data sets, and ability to pick up technical concepts, combined with your passion for the automotive industry, will be crucial in driving momentum in the business.

Reporting to the Solutions team, your project scope will be wide and varied, providing you with exceptional learning opportunities that can be applied practically to your chosen career path.

You will gain hands-on experience and lead proactive R&D into the perfect customer experience for different automotive part types and jobs, informing data requirements for customers.

You will also develop your project management skills by working on various projects simultaneously.

What will you do:

-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement tailored solutions for each car part type available on the Partly platform.
-
Work directly with customers and the sales team to understand the customer's technical requirements and feasibility
-
Analyse customer, industry and sales data to create an implementation solution. Translate those requirements internally and drive the project, where required.
-
Lead client presentations and discussions, effectively communicating the technical aspects and benefits of our solutions to various stakeholders including non-technical audiences
-
Work closely with the technical team, providing them with well-defined requirements and guidelines to develop solutions that meet industry and customer specifications.
-
Engage in product testing phases to ensure solutions align with the established criteria, providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
-
Participate in strategy development sessions, contributing innovative ideas and approaches that promote the growth and success of the Partly platform in the marketplace.
-
Be the customer. Become a super-user of Partly's PartsPal Inventory management software and how a customer can use it to find the part that fits.

Your skills:

  • A
STEM degree (ideally with the flexibility to go fulltime post internship, if a mutual fit)
-
A passion for the automotive sector with demonstrable knowledge of the industry supply chain and its dynamics.
-
Knowledge of replacement car parts, how to purchase and fit one to the car.
-
Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to convey ideas clearly and persuasively to customers and colleagues.
-
Proficiency in analysing data and trends to make informed decisions and optimise strategies.
-
A customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand and address customer needs and preferences.
