In conjunction with the GM Direct & Regional, the Account Director role will lead the revenue delivery strategy to grow and develop the Agency portfolio in Wellington.

The role will be accountable for the delivery of maximising sales revenue for TV and Digital.


You will assist in adopting a thought leadership approach within the Wellington team to grow TVNZ revenue share by partnering with agencies and clients incorporating linear, digital, integrated solutions and partnerships.

You will need to think differently.

Business Planning & Goals

  • Develop, champion and be accountable for an annual strategy plan that will deliver against revenue budget and share growth for TV and Digital.
  • Ensure the Revenue Funnel for your account and the team is actively managed and reported against on a monthly basis as a critical diagnostic tool to assist in achievement of TV and Digital revenue targets.
  • Execute sales planning tools and methodologies across your portfolio.
  • Instigate Demand Creation projects to proactively target incremental revenue from selected key accounts.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership with clients to ensure involvement in strategic planning.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity, plans, achievements and marketplace positioning.
  • Contribute where appropriate to special project planning and implementation.
  • Champion the sales innovations adopted by TVNZ.
