Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role

Our Commercial Group manages the key commercial activities, provides strategic leadership and advice to other groups and works with the broader market to achieve system transformation for Kāinga Ora.

It contains our developer support team who provide financial underwrites to housing projects that meet defined criteria, our procurement and supplier management team who support our business groups to source materials and services, and our acquisitions and divestment teams.

The Senior Acquisition Manager will be responsible for our activities in the South Island and leading the team responsible for acquiring property around New Zealand in the form of land, existing residential properties and design and build development projects.

Acquisition can be via purchase or lease.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring

  • Qualifications Tertiary qualification in property, business or management and/or the equivalent work experience in the property development, negotiations, and successful property transactions
  • A minimum 10 years' experience in property transactions, negotiations and property development activity
  • Evidence of experience in managing teams
  • Proven experience in undertaking property transactions and development
  • Understanding of project / contract management methodology
  • Ability to think conceptually and anticipate issues that may affect the implementation of the project
  • Strong communication and influencing communication skills
