The Role
Due to an internal promotion, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Demand Planner to join our Supply Chain team.
Working collaboratively with our Animal Management and Security business units to understand the demand profiles of their diverse products, you'll play a key role in helping minimise Gallagher's supply chain costs by balancing customer service expectations with the cost of fulfilling them.
Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you'll also work closely with the Inventory Management team to mitigate risks effectively with redundant stock levels and other inventory strategy parameters.
The Fit
To succeed in this role you'll need advanced skills in mathematics and statistics and sound knowledge of demand planning best practice.
You'll also be able to work in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, utilising your strong interpersonal skills to work alongside multiple different business units.
In addition, you'll ideally also have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analysis or a relevant field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g.
- 3+ years' experience in demand planning roles or with time series analysis and modelling.
- Demonstrated experience using statistical modelling.
- Deep knowledge and experience with forecasting tools and working in largescale ERPs (SAP).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user.
- Comfortable with Python plus data science and machine learning libraries and APIs.
- Familiar with S&OP and IBP processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
