Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative health professional with a passion for mental health and addictions to join us in a leadership role.

This position is based across the community mental health and addictions teams in the Hauraki area - Adult mental health services (AMHS), Infant Child and Adolescent mental health services (ICAMHS) and Community Alcohol and other Drugs service (CADS).


We are seeking a registered health professional with a high level of knowledge and skills in supporting people accessing mental health and addictions services with a person and whanau centred care approach.

An ability to manage and support planning for complex presentations along with providing leadership and support during crisis situations is essential.

Supporting initiatives to improve outcomes for Maori receiving service will be a key area of focus for this role

Mōu | About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

At least two years' experience in Mental Health and Addictions, ideally in a community setting or with clear transferable skills

An ability to manage and support planning for complex presentations along with providing leadership and support during crisis situations is essential.

Practice with a tangata whaiora and whanau centred approach and are a strong advocate for best practice

Approach care and service delivery with a strong cultural lens and an understanding of our responsibilities in achieving equity for Maori

Have a passion for being able to support and sustain change in line with service improvements and developments

Have an identified interest in a leadership pathway in mental health and addictions services
