This is a unique opportunity to join the Media Works team in a pivotal phase of our technology journey propelling business growth and meeting customer needs.

Reporting to GM Digital and Operations you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our product development and ensuring seamless delivery.

With a strong background in programming, engineering, product management and delivery you will lead a cross-functional team of professionals to drive innovation, shape the product roadmap and deliver exceptional digital/AI products to the wider radio and digital business.

The Role Your technical expertise in product development, coupled with strategic thinking and excellent communication skills, will be instrumental in guiding the team through the entire product lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders and critical to supporting our ongoing growth.

Leading Delivery and Product teams - driving high performance and outcomes, ensuring effective resource allocation, and timely delivery of projects across radio and digital business units.

Product Roadmap - Collaborate with stakeholders to define and shape the product roadmap, considering market trends, customer needs, and business objectives.

Ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.

Delivery of PWA Formats - Lead the development and delivery of Progressive Web App (PWA) formats for our radio websites, ensuring optimal user experience, performance, scalability and commercial outcomes.

Delivery of Rova 3.0 Super App - Taking charge of the delivery process for the new Rova 3.0 super app, ensuring successful implementation, integration of features, and a seamless user experience across platforms.

Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, identify potential risks, implement strategies to mitigate risks whilst optimising delivery timelines and resource utilisation.

Championing a culture of continuous improvement within the product and delivery teams, encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and the implementation of industry best practices.


About you:

Successful track record of leading and managing technology teams, fostering collaboration, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will have extensive experience in product ownership, including defining product strategies, creating roadmaps, and driving product development from conception to launch.

With the relevant tertiary level qualification, deep understanding of software engineering principles, agile methodologies and best practices in software development and product management.

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, identify market trends, and translate them into actionable product strategies.
Experience in delivering complex digital/AI products, including web and mobile applications, with a focus on user experience and scalability.

Robust analytical skills and being a strong communicator you will lead and influence a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver key outcomes.
