We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager with a strong leadership background to oversee our Injection Moulding team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive continuous improvement, coach and guide team members effectively, while upholding accountability within the production processes.

This new role will be heavily focused on the scheduling and leadership requirements of the Injection department, while also developing quality, efficiency and the Health and Safety culture.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure targets for production and quality are met safely, efficiently, and within budget. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement while supporting and developing your team.

Key duties and responsibilities.

  • Manage production schedules, ensuring the effective allocation of resources to deliver in full, on time.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high quality products.
  • Manage people, plant, and materials to ensure efficiencies across productivity, downtime, waste % reduction target, OEE and others.
  • Ensure staff are trained in QC processes and the site quality plan is adhered to.
  • Lead a dedicated team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve organisational goals.
  • Supporting the development of departments culture and performance.
  • Integral part of the site leadership team.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement, uplifting productivity and increasing efficiencies without compromising quality.
  • Foster a safety-first culture throughout the team and wider business.

The ideal candidate will have.

  • High level of interpersonal skills with ability to engage and drive a positive, high-performing culture.
  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety protocols and practices.
  • Previous management experience with large teams and multiple shifts.
  • Detailed understanding of scheduling.
  • Good understanding of Bill of Materials.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on sales support.
  • Knowledge of current manufacturing methods and machinery.
  • Background in plastic engineering, trade, or technical field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with relevant computer systems and software.
  • Solution-focused with a proactive "can-do" attitude.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
