Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:

As an Intelligence Support Analyst, you will develop and use your excellent skills to manage high-level information and conduct processes that supports the intelligence group and MBIE in protecting New Zealand from risks and realising opportunities to grow the country for us all.

We are recruiting for a position in the National Prioritisation Process team, offering the opportunity to be emersed in MBIE's dynamic regulatory environment, information systems and other operational tasks.


To do this effectively you must be comfortable in your ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders that ensure your customers get the intelligence services they need in a timely manner.

We are a busy unit, operating in a high tempo and dynamic environment.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent organising skills, with an ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks for a range of customers.
  • Sound attention to detail with a problemsolving and analytical approach and excellent judgement.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new information or areas of work.
  • A collaborative and actionoriented approach.
  • Ability to adapt within a dynamic environment.
  • Good initiative and sound judgement.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The following may be an advantage:

  • A tertiary qualification or comparable relevant experience.
  • Experience in a relevant intelligence, research, or information service field.
  • Experience in extracting and collating data.
  • Knowledge of security and the management of classified or sensitive information.
