We are a non-profit charitable organisation looking for a dynamic and proactive Office Manager who will be an integral part of our unique and evolving environment. Your responsibilities will span the breadth of business support functions while seamlessly coordinating and liaising with staff, stakeholders and tāngata whai ora.

The Loft is a leader in changing the way social services connect and collaborate. We run a drop-in "Social Emergency Response Service" for those in need of social and wellbeing support. We help tāngata whai ora through difficult circumstances by eliminating the need to navigate complex support systems alone during traumatic or stressful periods of their life, while connecting them to the resources they need to thrive.

Alongside this mahi, we provide a collaborative hub where multiple specialist support organisations work together. This environment empowers us to respond to the needs of our community quickly and efficiently by having access to information and resources that they may need, while also linking tāngata whai ora to a wide range of support services all under one roof.

As the Office Manager you'll be integral to overseeing the execution of our business operations, championing safety, driving excellence, managing our reception, and embedding our values.

This will include:

  • Working closely with your direct report the FOH Co-ordinator.
  • Managing our ICT and general maintenance. Fostering relationships with site contractors and overseeing key systems and access controls.
  • Lead the Health and Safety Committee and act as Lead Fire Warden. Your commitment to safety will ensure compliance with legislative/policy requirements, promote best practices, and oversee inductions for staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Chair and administer in-house committees responsible for organising events and activities that help foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Ensure our reception is always staffed and all services have the supports and systems in place to be able to support as many of our community as possible.
  • Act as a key liaison for tenants and stakeholders.
  • Develop, grow, and maintain plans for: external stakeholders to access our meeting rooms, projects that improve our systems, and secure donated goods.

The person we are looking for demonstrates:

  • A strong administrative background with developed office management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database packages.
  • Natural ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong time-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Previous experience managing health and safety within the workplace advantageous.
