Senior Advisor, Employment Relations (People Experience team)

You will be supported in this role by an experienced Employment Relations and Remuneration team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to and respect for Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector and the ability to incorporate this into your work
:

  • An understanding and appreciation of crosscultural issues and concerns, in particular, knowledge of tikanga Māori.
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of current employment relations and human resource practice and relevant employment legislation and case law in Aotearoa.
  • Proven ability in providing advice and support on complex ER issues, including disciplinary action, change management, and performance management.
  • Experience leading and managing projects and delivering on deadlines.
  • Experience with conflict resolution, influencing, negotiating, including mediation, settlements, etc.
  • Experience of collective bargaining and implementing the outcomes.
  • Strong written and comprehension abilities.
  • A background in a large, complex, unionised organisation is advantageous.

Utu ā-tau/Salary**Salary Range: The appointing salary for this role will be between $94,377 and $131,591 based on your skills and experience.
