Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a regional Contract Management Specialist to join our Strategic Contracts and Relationships Team.

Based in Auckland, and working as part of a team with geographical portfolios, you'll become an expert on the various contracts that we issue and businesses we engage with, ensuring that the 'last mile' contracted delivery network (think couriers, rural delivery, point to point and other bespoke services) meets the service and commercial expectations, whilst still being operated in a consistent and sustainable manner.

Your remit will be North of the Harbour Bridge to the top of the Island and everywhere in between.
You'll work closely with our operational teams who work with our contract partners on a day to day basis.

You'll be responsible for managing the commercial relationship with our contract partners also get involved in pricing, including the annual price review process for each of the contract types in your portfolio.

The most important elements you'll bring to this role are a high level of business acumen, a level head, strong attention to detail and being comfortable having commercial conversations and engaging with people at all levels.

You'll combine this with

  • A positive team approach and collaborative working style
  • Commercial savvy and a pragmatic approach
  • Experience managing commercial relationships with SME business owners
  • The ability to analyse business information and manoeuvre your way around MS Excel
  • Either experience working with contracts and legal documents or a strong working knowledge of NZP and how it all ticks behind the scenes
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
