**Our Category and Pricing team is seeking to hire a Master Data Specialist to join them at our National Support Office based in Mangere, South Auckland.**

As the **Master Data Specialist**, you would support Team leader of master data/pricing, Category Managers and Key Senior Stakeholders in their decision making and responsible for performing master data analysis, audit and clean data from various business functions, identify any potential opportunities and provide relevant recommendations to achieve business objectives. You will be reporting to the Team Leader - Master data & Pricing.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Identify areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
- In conjunction with Team Leader Master Data and Enablement set the strategy and roadmap for Data Management, Information Architecture and Business Process.
- Ensure quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
- Conduct data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access.
- Develop and implement strategies to translate business requirements and models into feasible and acceptable data warehouse designs to ensure that business needs are met.
- Category analysis - Analyse business and market trends to provide insights and recommend new strategies to achieve overall business objectives.
- Liaise with Sales and Marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.
- Provide guidance to sales team to meet revenue goals.
- Conduct post-promotion investigation to study the marketing impact to category and brand.
- Manage all new code and code maintenance request.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all SF system touch points by conducting ongoing maintenance.

**What we are looking for**:

- A tertiary level qualification in business or professional qualification in relevant area.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a master data or similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with a solution oriented approach to problem solving
- Advanced level at Excel and Microsoft with good knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
- Relationship focused (internal & external) and action orientated
- Remains calm under pressure
- Positive, Can-do Attitude
