Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role

The Training Coordinator is the front door to Training Services and will need to work effectively with various audiences across government and the Educational Sector.

Responsibilities will include answering enquiries about training programmes, assisting with bookings, ensuring course uptake and educating participants on online training while preparing them for sessions.

The Training Coordinator must also become proficient with the Ministry's Learning Management System (LMS), which is fundamental to all operations of Training Services.

Mōhou ake | About you
To be successful in the role, you'll be working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.

We'll also count on you to shape, frame and design our process and thinking using a diverse and inclusive approach.


You will have:

- experienced with MS Office suite, in particular MS Outlook
- strong oral (great phone manner) and written communication

  • Strong customer service skills

You will also offer:

- relevant experience and/or qualification(s)
- demonstrated knowledge/experience with the same or similar training management system
- confident pronunciation of Te Reo Maori
- knowledge/experience of the New Zealand Education Sector
- knowledge/experience of internal Ministry of Education processes
- knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori
