About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga :

Reporting to the Director of Teaching, Learning and Research, you will effectively lead and advance Te Rito Maioha's engagement with current and emerging digital technologies within the context of tertiary education.

In this role you will:

  • Support, enable and promote high-quality teaching with pedagogical expertise and the use of appropriate digital technologies to support and enhance teaching and learning.
  • Additionally, you will bolster staff capability for technology-enhanced learning.
  • Looking ahead, you will identify future digital technologies that align with Te Rito Maioha's vision for teaching and learning.

Your role will include a research component giving you the opportunity to draw from your Masters or PhD research and contribute to our research strategy.

We are looking for:

  • Proven Academic leadership experience, preferably in initial teacher education.
  • A strong understanding of e-pedagogy and teaching online
  • Familiarity with educational technology trends, including AI, gamification, and online learning platforms.
  • A Masters' or PhD
