About the role


The Learning Solutions team delivers innovative adult learning programmes, products and assets for the New Zealand Police (NZP) and Royal New Zealand Police College (RNZPC).

You will be in a senior role as part of a talented team of training developers, designers and specialists such as digital videographers.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the NZP by equipping our leaders and the frontline with the skills, knowledge and insights to keep our communities both actually safe and feeling safe.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead projects with internal customers across NZP
  • Develop learning products, programmes and assets for the NZP and RNZPC
  • Maintain great relationships with business owners, partners, product owners and project managers
  • Be a great team player working collaboratively to deliver great outcomes for NZP
  • Champion creative evidence based adult learning and innovation
  • Be fearless in evaluating learning delivery, outcomes and client satisfaction
  • Maintaining a focus on behavioural and learning outcomes

  • Support curation of our learning programmes, products and assets

We are looking for a great people with an understanding of NZ policing and our strategic direction. You will understand how people learn and behave in the real world. You will be passionate about challenging the status quo. Recent experience in training design, managing projects, and a track record of on time delivery is helpful. Qualifications, particularly post graduate qualifications, in Education and Design are welcomed. You may also have experience in creative areas including animation, videography and design. Knowledge of JIRA and Agile approaches or a willingness to learn will also help.
