About the role:


The _Head of Product Development and Systems Engineering _is part of the Executive Team and reports directly to the Executive Chair.

This role heads several key functions including the existing product portfolio, new products, their introduction to markets, supporting after-market sales and engineering to order.


With eight direct reports across the new product development and design engineering functions, this role will drive the product portfolio strategy from inception right through to delivery to market.

You will be well versed in driving successful performance and have had exposure working within global markets.

As a strong communicator, you will be a positive and committed leader who exercises sound judgement, negotiates, delegates, and informs successfully.


If you are an experienced, and innovative thought leader with knowledge of global trends in the agricultural /Agri-tech sector, together with a solid understanding of stakeholder and project management and have demonstrated knowledge of what it takes to bring products and services to market, we want to connect with you.


To be successful you will:

  • A strong background in best practice new product management
  • A relevant degree (mechanical / automation or design engineering)
  • Be highly commercial
  • Have strong Project Management experience
  • Have strong understanding, passion, and experience in dairy milking, and agricultural and Agritech sectors
  • Develop, manage, and sustain excellent relationships (both internal and external)
  • Be responsible for the overall financial performance of the function
  • Have advanced communication skills
  • Have strong planning and negotiating skills
  • Be well organised and able to deliver on key milestones
