About The Role:


We are recruiting Casual Fruit Monitoring Technicians to carry out the testing of Zespri Kiwifruit and sending the results through to our Cool Chain team for analysis.

No specific experience in fruit testing is required.

This is a Casual role, with hours varying from hours per week, with at least 1 day on the weekend.


Accountabilities:

  • Collecting, testing and assessment of kiwifruit, in a safe manner.
  • Communicate all results of fruit tests and assessment to the Cool Chain Team as soon as testing is completed.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date record of fruit tests and related results and instructions received.
  • Be aware of safety and adhere to all health and safety standards.
  • Maintain clear lines of communication daily to Cool Chain Team.
  • Such other duties as directed from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current Drivers License.
  • Basic keyboard and computer skills. Familiarity with Excel.
  • Attention to detail for data entry.
  • Able to work with and communicate effectively to people of all nationalities, cultures and backgrounds.
  • Physical ability to work comfortably and safely on your feet for long periods of time up to 10 hours.
  • Physical ability to carry and lift fruit samples and gas cylinders (approx. 20kg) comfortably and safely into and out of the hold of a vessel.
  • Ability to work safely where temperatures may get down to 1.0C.
