This role is an opportunity to shape the design, and drive the effective delivery, of our development investments in infrastructure sectors.

It involves working with a broad range of MFAT divisions and teams, suppliers, stakeholders, partner organisations and governments.

As a Senior Adviser you will use your communication, technical, delivery and analysis skills to develop and lead complex initiatives, providing technical and strategically sound advice and insights on infrastructure.

You will be part of a diverse and adaptable team that provides high quality insights, advice and management of Pacific infrastructure projects.

MFAT has invested in over 130 such activities during the last decade including hospitals, runways, wharfs, coastal protection, recreation, and waste management.

The Infrastructure and Transport team sits within the Development Economy and Prosperity Division that in turn is part of the Pacific and Development Group at MFAT.

The Division provides the sectoral and thematic expertise, analysis and advice needed to deliver high quality development cooperation. It is complex, fast-paced and involves engagement with multiple players across New Zealand and the Pacific. New Zealand engages in supporting Pacific infrastructure development in areas such as transport, water and sanitation, and public buildings. Our development programmes build new infrastructure, provide technical advice and support planning and capability building.
