As Associate General Counsel you will provide enterprise wide leadership for legal and governance matters and support our Supply Investment Stream with specialist legal advice supporting value delivery and risk management solutions for a range of business activities.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Provide legal and governance advice across Z
  • Support our Supply function with specialist advice and advocacy covering operations, contract management, supply chain planning and government and industry relations
  • Support and stand in for our General Counsel as required
  • Work in a cross functional environment using Agile Ways of Working
  • Lead negotiations and influence decisions
  • Join Z in a senior role with involvement in a supply chain making a real impact in Aotearoa

Qualifications

What you'll bring to Z

  • Significant experience in a legal role with exposure to health and safety and regulatory environments, PQE 710 years
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in law and a current New Zealand practicing certificate
  • Leadership experience, with both people/teams and pieces of work
  • Strong knowledge of contract and commercial law
  • The ability to influence and negotiate, ensuring beneficial outcomes
  • Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills
  • Relationship building skills, across a range of levels the wider business, senior leaders and external stakeholders

The base salary range for this role is $205,000 to $225,000 per annum, plus 20% bonus based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
