The Technical Communicator role is in our highly successful Product team and will make and maintain product documentation, video, and other related self-help content for the IDEXX Veterinary Software suite of applications.

Solutions for practice management (PIMS), diagnostics, payments, client engagement, analytics & insight plus many more. Vet Radar enhances in-patient workflows, helping veterinary practices improve their clinical processes and deliver a higher standard of care.

Vello gives everything a vet needs to connect with their clientsâall in one place. It streamlines the ways they engage with pet owners with a single experience built for IDEXX PIMS. With software-supported engagement across the life stages of a pet, pet owners become informed partners in careâsupporting better health outcomes.

So what are we looking for? 

  • Make and maintain customer self-help content for IDEXX veterinary software products

  • Make and maintain staff documentation and self-help content for cross-team use

  • Form close relationships with Support, Development, Implementation, and Marketing, departments

  • Interview customers and staff to measure the impact of content on customer satisfaction and business goals

  • Regularly assess content development practices and published work to continuously improve skills

  • Convert legacy documentation to new content systems

What you will bring: 

  • Great technical aptitude combined with excellent practical experience of plain English

  • Experience with markup languages such as HTML & Markdown (the experience is preferred but not essential)

  • Good proficiency with image editing apps

  • A problem-solving, customer-centric mindset

  • Experience working in a customer-facing role (preferred)

  • Enthusiasm and drive, and delivery of great results 

  • Efficient balancing of a variety of tasks
