As Benefit Realisation Lead, you will establish and lead a newly created function dedicated to setting productivity ambitions and value targets, identifying and prioritising opportunities, and tracking progress toward cost realisation outcomes. You will ensure robust governance, alignment with financial planning, and transparent reporting to drive value realisation across Westpac.
This will be a fixed term contract for 24 months.
Fundamental to the Benefit Realisation Office will be building a strong data and insight capability. This role will be responsible for setting the direction and leading data and finance teams to deliver to requirements.
Ko tō mahi | What you'll do
- Establish and lead the Value Realisation Office, setting vision, structure, and operating model
- Develop and implement governance frameworks to support benefit realisation initiatives
- Set productivity ambitions and value targets in collaboration with executive and business stakeholders
- Identify, prioritise, and manage opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value creation
- Track and report progress toward cost realisation outcomes using both lead and lag indicators
- Develop comprehensive realisation plans aligned with financial planning and business strategy
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management and governance forums
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and value delivery
- Lead and direct data teams to build tracking and reporting, generate insights, and develop productivity cases
- Responsible to be setting the direction and leading data and finance teams to deliver to requirements.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, or benefit realisation roles within a large corporate environment.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation, cost optimisation, or value delivery programmes.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks in a corporate setting.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into action.
- Experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and direct data teams for robust tracking, reporting, and insight generation.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, communication, problem-solving, project management, influence, change management, and data-driven decision making.
