About the role
We're seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team in our Dunsandel and city centre offices. In this key role, you'll support accurate financial reporting and tax compliance across the business, ensuring precision, accountability and excellence at every step. Working closely with the Group Finance & Tax Manager, you'll collaborate with stakeholders at every level, from the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to auditors, advisors and our shareholder.

Key responsibilities of this role include..
- Preparing IFRS-compliant Group Financial Statements (interim and full year).
- Managing month-end close and group consolidation activities.
- Completing Bright Dairy monthly and annual reporting packs.
- Supporting taxation workstreams including GST, income tax and R&D tax credits.
- Assisting with treasury, insurance and sustainability reporting.
- Contributing to investor materials and ad-hoc finance projects.
You'll be someone who digs deeper, who wants to understand the story behind the numbers, connect insights to impact, and help drive smarter, stronger business decisions.
What you'll bring
You'll be a technically strong, commercially minded finance professional with around 3 years' experience, in a Chartered Accounting firm or large corporate environment. You're confident navigating complex group structures and bring a natural curiosity for how businesses operate.
- 3 years' experience in a Chartered Accounting firm or large corporate environment
- Experience preparing or auditing consolidated financial statements
- Solid knowledge of IFRS/NZ GAAP
- Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you know how to translate numbers into stories people understand.
