We're partnering with a leading NZ private organisation to find their next Senior Financial Accountant.

Join a high-performing finance team where your technical accounting expertise will be challenged, valued, and put to real use. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment with plenty of variety and opportunity to make an impact.

You'll take ownership of the full financial accounting cycle — from month-end reporting and reconciliations to statutory accounts and audits. You'll prepare audit-quality analysis, technical accounting papers, and ensure compliance with NZ IFRS, IRD, NZX, and FMA requirements.

This is a hands-on role where you'll get into the detail, drive month-end processes, and contribute to process improvements that make a real difference.

What you'll bring

  • CA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong financial accounting experience in a large private, commercially focussed business
  • Excellent understanding of NZ IFRS, reporting standards, and audit cycles
  • Experience with Opex/Capex and month-end processes
  • Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
