About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team. You'll play a key role in delivering demolition projects of all sizes. This position requires someone who can work independently, operate machinery confidently, and isn't afraid to get stuck in. You'll follow instructions from the Site Manager and ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a range of equipment in line with company safety policies and procedures
- Competently handle tasks such as loading trucks and loading machinery onto transport vehicles
- Maintain, clean, and store company equipment and materials in a safe and organized manner
- Stay organized and ensure both you and your equipment are prepared and transported efficiently to and from work.
- Show strong time management, think on your feet, balance tasks effectively, and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
- Complete daily pre-start checks on all machines and ensure supporting paperwork is accurate
- Accurately complete all required documentation, including check sheets, charge-out dockets, daily run sheets, timesheets, and any other operational paperwork
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- Hold a current WTR Endorsements and/or Class 4/5 Licence
- Successful track record operating heavy machinery; loaders and excavators, as well as smaller equipment
- Preferably experience with 14t and above machinery
- Mechanically minded
- A safe and responsible approach to work as well as health and safety
- You Must already be eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered for this Job
- Be open to working abroad for short periods
- Applicants must be drug free, punctual and hardworking
- Available to start immediately
- Familiar with the demolition industry and the safety requirements within.
- A good attitude, and proven history of driving and operating safely
- Valid Site Safe card would be beneficial but not essential
