About the Role
We have the opportunity available to join the National Public Health Service (NPHS) Prevention Directorate as a Standards Review Lead within our National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP) team. This is a fixed term, full-time role.
The Standards Review Lead/Senior Advisor is a mid-level advisor with strong subject matter expertise, writing and relationship skills, and capable of leading a project of work. In this role you will finalise and complete the NCSP Clinical Practice Guidelines and Service Standards. You will be responsible for planning, delivering and facilitating ongoing training for clinicians and screen-takers. Provide advice to support, maintain and improve the delivery of a high-quality National Cervical Screening Programme including contributing to continuous improvement in processes and practices within the team.

The NPHS within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
About you
You will bring with you, previous experience in delivering high quality and safety focused clinical practice guidelines and service standards for programmes of work. You have strong analytical skills combined with an ability to quickly assimilate new information, and to write and talk about complex issues. You are able to show initiative, work flexibly while positively contributing to the whole team.
- Relevant graduate qualification or relevant experience
- Experience in an advisory role, applying critical thinking and using sound judgement to develop options and provide advice
- Strong analytical skills combined with an ability to quickly assimilate new information, and to write and talk about complex issues clearly and concisely with a range of audiences
- Displays initiative, flexibility and positively contributes to the whole team
- Able to use your well-developed written and oral communication skills to persuade and influence
