This well-established organisation is looking for a senior finance leader to help to plan and grow the returns from its diverse portfolio of commercial interests, to deliver financial outcomes that will sustainably benefit its shareholders, now and for the future. The business has sizeable horticultural interests, and it also owns a number of commercial assets.

Working closely with, and supporting a commercially skilled Committee of Management (CoM) and General Manager, you will be expected to ensure that the medium term and annual financial planning and financial performance of the organisation, and associated supporting processes, are well managed, and enable sound decision making. This will include ensuring that associated fit for purpose financial and non-financial reporting is accurate and timely. It will require positive engagement and strong personal relationships with the CoM, business managers, shareholders and stakeholders.

There will be functional oversight for the delivery of financial forecasting and reporting, ensuring tax and professional compliance (including IFRS), completion of the annual audit, cashflow, risk and asset management, and the provision of commercial advice in respect to banking, leases, insurance, etc. You will also be expected to lead, inspire and develop a team.

To be considered for this role, you will be a proven commercially oriented financial leader, who has shown that they can consistently deliver high quality strategic and operational financial information to support commercial planning and decision making. It is highly desirable that you have had experience in supporting a business at a senior level where there has been a strong investment/ownership portfolio focus, ideally including Kiwifruit. You must have well developed interpersonal skills, and be able to connect naturally with business unit managers and shareholders/stakeholders. You must be a current member of CAANZ.
