Reporting to the Engineering & Design Manager, you will be pivotal in the design and development of our network protection systems, as well as aspects of automation and data communications. In this role you will:

Provide design expertise on new build and brown-field substations and distribution projects, technology innovations, and solution studies.Evaluate and integrate new technologies, undertake fault investigations, and offer engineering support to other business teams.  Lead and review designs, develop, and support our protection, automation, and communications systems.Take a Project Engineer role on key projects.Maintain high quality technical specifications and standards.Drive improvements in business processes, network operation, equipment functionality, and safety

About you:

We would love to hear from you if you are a skilled engineer with a passion for protection systems and a commitment to excellence. You will have:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).5+ years in protection design and analysis for electrical distribution or transmission networks.Experience with network modelling tools such as PowerFactory or PSS SINCAL.Technical knowledge of industry standards and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.A high degree of accuracy and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong planning skills to ensure priorities and tasks are completed on time.

In addition, the following experience would be desirable:

Network communications technology, including IEC 61850 and DNP3Automation systems in electricity networksProtection systems asset commissioningComputer Aided Design
