About the role

We are seeking experienced Security Technicians to support and service our clients across the Auckland region.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for servicing and supporting security systems at client sites, ensuring everything operates smoothly, safely, and to the highest standard. Reporting to our Operations Manager, your tasks will be time sensitive, standards driven, and aligned to ARA Security's WHS policies and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Service and diagnose installed security systems
• Programming and commissioning CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms
• Assisting with client network connectivity
• Providing real-time updates and clear communication to clients and internal teams to ensure transparency and fast issue resolution
• Participate in the on-call roster, providing after-hours support as required
• Ensuring all work complies with WHS policies and meets ARA Group's quality and safety standards

About you

You're a skilled and driven Security technician who's passionate about leading edge technology and committed to delivering outstanding service. You take pride in your work, thrive in dynamic environments and bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every task.

In addition, you'll bring:

• 3+ years' experience or a relevant Level 4 qualification
• Experience with Integriti, Gallagher, Tecom, Avigilon, Geutebruck, Hikvision or other similar security tools
• Existing knowledge and certification in systems such as; Gallagher, ICT and Integriti
• IP CCTV systems & integration
• Fundamental TCP/IP networking knowledge
• Familiarity with Access Control (or similar systems)
• A willingness to obtain a cable registration certificate and security licence
• A self-motivated and driven approach, with a proven ability to assess situations rapidly, stay focused, composed, and productive when working independently or under pressure
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong client relationships through clear and professional interactions
• The ability to assess situations rapidly and make sound decision under pressure, ensuring effective outcomes
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to make decision and take initiative when needed
• A reliable and efficient approach, with a proven ability to stay organised and support team goals through effective time management
