 We're seeking a skilled Senior Health & Safety Advisor who can confidently operate at both the frontline and strategic level. In this role, you'll support our operational teams on site while shaping initiatives that strengthen our organisation-wide approach to health, safety, and wellbeing. You'll bring practical expertise, strong relationship skills, and the ability to influence leaders and teams to lift performance and embed a culture where safety is at the heart of how we work.

In addition to the above you will:   

  • Provide expert operational H&S support by conducting safety checks, risk assessments, incident reporting, and ensuring site documentation is accurate and compliant

  • Advise and coach leaders and frontline teams, acting as the technical SME to lift capability and embed strong HSW behaviours across the business

  • Lead audits, investigations, and critical risk reviews, driving corrective actions, continuous improvement, and clear communication of risks

  • Manage and deliver H&S training, toolbox talks, and divisional safety events, ensuring training meets industry standards and operational needs

  • Champion HSW culture and strategic initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align safety systems, analyse data, and support organisational change

We're looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience in construction or high-risk industries, backed by strong regulatory knowledge (HSWA 2015, ISO and relevant H&S certifications (Level 4/6 desirable)

  • Proven leadership and coaching strength, able to influence behaviours, build trust, and work effectively with workers, supervisors, engineers, and managers

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to all audiences

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience using data to identify trends, challenge practices, and support continuous improvement

  • Strong capability in conflict resolution, negotiation, and change management

  • A track record of implementing and embedding company strategic improvements across a large diverse team.
