An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive part-time Health and Safety Manager, to join a dedicated team responsible for the care and management of one of Auckland's most iconic green spaces

About the role:

  • This is an autonomous role where you will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Health & Safety Risk Management Programme
  • Responsible for running the H&S operational heads meeting and weekly Toolbox meetings.
  • Foster a strong safety culture across diverse operations, including heritage, recreation, and agriculture
  • Act as a hands-on leader ensuring health and safety compliance across all activities
  • Engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in health and safety practices

About you:

  • You are a qualified health and safety professional with 5 years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience within the outdoor, agricultural or heritage environments would be a real advantage
  • You bring a strong understanding of New Zealand's health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • You have a proven track record in contractor management and conducting risk assessments, with effective mitigation strategies
  • You are a confident leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have strong ability to influence others and promote a positive safety culture
  • You bring a collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

This is a part-time position, where you will work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays - working a total of 20 hours per week.
