About the Role:
We're seeking a commercially astute Senior Customer Business Manager to lead a high-value customer portfolio across Woolworths NZ and Impulse. This is a senior role with real influence, responsible for shaping customer strategy, driving sustainable growth, and leading a high-performing Key Accounts team within a complex FMCG environment.

You'll operate at a senior customer level, owning commercial outcomes while partnering cross-functionally to deliver long-term value for both the business and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of annual customer and banner plans aligned to business and customer strategies.
  • Own Net Net Sales, trade investment, ICP execution, and forecast accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong senior-level customer relationships through joint business planning.
  • Partner closely with Category, Shopper, E-commerce, and Field Sales teams to ensure aligned priorities and flawless execution.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a Key Account Manager and Key Account Executive, with a strong focus on capability and succession.
  • Support major negotiations, commercial reviews, and key customer initiatives.

  • A commercially driven FMCG leader who thrives in complex customer environments.
  • Confident influencing at senior customer level with strong negotiation capability.
  • Structured, data-led, and disciplined in managing trade and forecasting.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • A collaborative people leader who enjoys building high-performing teams.

Key Experience

  • 5+ years' commercial experience within NZ FMCG or grocery, with proven delivery against sales and profit KPIs.
  • Strong experience leading key accounts and complex negotiations including price increases, range reviews, and trade terms.
  • Omnichannel understanding across customer, category, shopper, field, and e-commerce.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in Integrated Commercial Planning and trade management.
