We have a newly created role in our Engineering Practice for a Solution Designer focusing on Nga Tapuwae. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solution Designer to join the Solution Design & Data Modellig team and help design enterprise solutions that enable our business strategies.

As a Solution Designer, you will play a critical role in the following:

Work on best practice approaches, solutions and tooling to support our design outcomes

Taking ownership for detailed Feature Architecture Design

Collaboratively shaping the design of API and Eventing solutions using BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) framework

Committed to supporting to assisting delivery teams with technical leadership throughout delivery

Developing and refining Architecture Decision Records to resolve design issues

Partnering with Data Modellers, Staff Engineers and Project Stakeholders to provide shared clarity

Engaging and collaborating across Nga Tapuwae teams to identify and solve design issues

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Designer with a background in integration who is keen to be part of a team building a strong culture with a sense of belonging and respect; who are passionate about delivering for our customers; and who are relentless in their pursuit of simplification, efficiency and quality of delivery.

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:

Experience as a Solution Designer, designing, developing, and delivering integrated solutions.

Banking Industry Architecture Network knowledge and expertise

Expertise in cloud technologies

Strong knowledge of integration frameworks, software development lifecycle and architecture concepts.

Ability to work within agile squads, adapt to emerging design changes and drive technical excellence.

Deep understanding of security, privacy and compliance in financial institutions
