**About the role**:
The Architecture and Strategy team supports the strategic design and implementation of the Digital Strategy, and acts as the organisation’s ICT design authority to enable effective design governance and decision-making improving ICT engagement and alignment with the business. In turn enabling ICT to effectively translate business strategies into process and capability change that can be understood by ICT delivery programmes.

Working closely with the wider business and business owners as well as project leads where appropriate, the Senior Solutions Architect has the responsibility to ensure the business and technology solutions meet the goals of the Digital Strategy and associated business outcomes. The position holder will also work with and support the Design Authority Group that will approve all detailed designs and integration decisions for nominated programmes, projects and BAU activities.

The role is responsible for providing expert design and architecture advice and direction for the solutions team to meet the demands of time, cost and work with leaders and teams across all parts of Fire and Emergency NZ. The role has a technical lead delivery in projects involving ICT as required. The position will also as required take a lead delivery role on projects that have a significant ICT component.

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- Strong experience in Information Systems, Data and Systems Integration Solutions.
- Good understanding and practical experience in Cloud (Microsoft Azure), software as a service and the integration of on premise with the Cloud.
- Strong background and experience in web, mobile, API software, middleware, development, and engineering with information systems focus.
- Excellent report writing skills by being able to provide concise, practical, and relevant information.
- A track record of achieving results in a complex environment.
