We're after a Planning, Reporting and Procurement Advisor to join our team at ChristchurchNZ. Reporting to the Head of Finance you'll coordinate annual planning, manage reporting to our shareholder Christchurch City Council, our Board and leadership team, and guide procurement processes that are fit for purpose and future ready. As Planning, Reporting and Procurement Advisor you will:

  • Lead planning and reporting that keeps us accountable and future-focused, supporting compliance and performance across ChristchurchNZ.
  • Turn data into insight by coordinating reports and commentary that inform our shareholder, board and leadership team.
  • Support smart procurement with tools, templates and advice that help teams make confident, risk-aware decisions.
  • Guide contract management from setup to close, ensuring processes are clear, compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Improve how we work by leading policy reviews and workflow enhancements that make things simpler and smarter.
  • Empower our people through onboarding, training and support that builds capability in planning, procurement and reporting.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3 years' experience delivering effective procurement processes and outcomes.
  • An understanding of internal planning frameworks and ability to effectively coordinate and progress work through structured processes.
  • A strong ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships and demonstrate leadership.
  • The ability to think critically and lead improvement of systems and processes.
  • A self-directed practical and pragmatic approach and high motivation to support the organisations success.
  • Capability of coordinating multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills and attention to detail to support effective monitoring and reporting.
  • Ability to analyse and communicate processes and performance results to a range of audiences.
  • A passion for the future of Ōtautahi Christchurch and our ambition for this place.
