Armer Group is a successful family-owned dairy farming business and they are currently looking to grow their small, close-knit finance team based in the heart of Mount Maunganui. About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, this role is a key part of our finance team. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial administration and payroll functions across the Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service to our farm teams and management.
This is a hands-on role with a balance of responsibility and variety, suited to someone who thrives in a busy, values-driven environment, and who is happy to pitch in wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NZ employment and tax legislation.
- Prepare employment contracts and liaise with immigration advisors where needed.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare GST returns and support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Collaborate with farm managers to ensure timely timesheet completion and provide support to the wider team as required.
- Assist with data improvements, system updates, and report production for the CFO
About You
You'll bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach and enjoy being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
You'll also have:
- Proven experience in payroll administration and knowledge of NZ payroll legislation.
- Strong bookkeeping or finance administration background, ideally within an accounting or agribusiness environment.
- Confidence using Xero (and ideally Smartly) with a willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude aligned with Armer Group's values.
