About the Role (Your Why)
The Payroll Associate is responsible for supporting the timely and accurate delivery of the payroll function.
What You'll Do
- Process payroll for Datacom employees on the agreed basis, accurately and within a timely manner.
- Update payroll information.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and managing enquiries.
- Being actively involved in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Support with the preparation of standard and ad hoc reports.
- Resolve payment errors in a timely manner.
- Provide accurate and timely advice to management and staff, and are kept up to date with legislation, policy and system changes.
- Help support the identification of process improvements, needs and priorities.
What You'll Bring
- Understanding of relevant legislation and if applicable, award expectations, associated taxation and superannuation legislation compliance requirements and conditions of employment.
- Understanding of the core principles of payroll end-to-end processes.
- Understanding of company business requirements. Knowledge of various payroll software/methodologies.
- 2+ years of payroll experience.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively administering payroll.
- Strong numeracy skills and an impeccable attention to detail.
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey information across various levels.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
