Senior Snowflake Solutions Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Snowflake Solutions Engineer who thrives on solving complex data challenges and guiding clients through their data transformation journeys. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of solution strategy, driving technical delivery, and influencing the direction of Snowflake capability within a team.

You'll be hands-on with architecture and implementation, while also playing a key role in mentoring others, setting standards, and contributing to reusable assets and delivery frameworks.

This role sits within our Information Services practice - one of four key areas at Tenzing, alongside Technology Services, Management Consulting, and Managed Services. The Information Services team partners with clients to deliver all things data including data science, data warehousing, and data migrations. We use proven methodologies along with industry leading technology (like Snowflake) to create scalable and sustainable data solutions tailored to our customer's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based data solutions across multiple client engagements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data architectures.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and consultants.
• Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency.
• Stay current with Snowflake features and ecosystem tools and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
• Support pre-sales activities including solution scoping, technical demos, and proposal development.
• Champion data governance, security, and performance optimization best practices.
• Maintain and foster strong working relationships with the Snowflake partnership team

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or solution architecture, with a strong focus on cloud data platforms.
• Deep experience designing and delivering Snowflake solutions.
• Snowflake or cloud certifications are highly desirable.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modelling, ELT/ETL, and performance tuning.
• Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Comfortable leading technical discussions and influencing architectural decisions.
• Passionate about mentoring and enabling others.
