About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and driven Communications Assistant to join our talented team at Home Foundation group in Christchurch. This full-time role will see you play a key part in supporting our marketing and communications efforts, helping to raise awareness of our important work across Aotearoa New Zealand.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist with the creation and distribution of marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers and social media content
  • Coordinate and schedule social media posts across our platforms to engage our audience
  • Provide administrative support for our communications team, including organising meetings, managing calendars, coordinating print work and photography
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and draft content for our website, newsletters and other communications
  • Monitor media coverage and help track campaign performance and metrics
  • Provide general administrative support as needed

What we're looking for

  • 1-2 years' experience in a marketing or communications assistant role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with content management systems and basic HTML/CSS an advantage
