Key Tasks

  • Drive the forklift safely to pick and load orders (multiple moves across 4–5 freezers and chillers daily).
  • Rotate stock using FIFO.
  • Keep freezers and chillers organised and accurate.
  • Receive inwards goods accurately.
  • Load trucks for delivery accurately.
  • Work with the rest of the factory on changes and ensuring stock requirements are met.
  • Daily Health and Safety checks: freezer/chiller temps, forklift etc.
  • Lead a small team; set pace and standards.
  • Daily/ongoing and monthly stocktake.
  • Managing bio-security requirements for transitional meat.

What you'll bring

  • Current forklift certificate (OSH) F endorsement necessary.
  • Solid dispatch/warehouse experience in food, warehouse, or cold chain.
  • Strong grasp of FIFO, and traceability.
  • Comfortable working in freezers/chillers.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Fit and healthy. Heavy lifting is required.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Clear communicator; steady under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to change and communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

Additional preferred skills

  • MPI/HACCP knowledge.
  • Export paperwork familiarity.
  • First Aid.
  • Class 2 or 4 Truck license.

Hours and pay

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (some early starts/late finishes when volume spikes).
  • Competitive hourly rate + staff perks.
  • Random Drug testing is conducted.
  • No criminal convictions .
